Goal...Watch Chak de again instead!!!

Another film on a game...but this time the result is different from Iqbal (Cricket) and Chakde (Hockey)...this one dissapoints big time. The film fails to hold the audience even till the interval and the story is damn predictible.

Director Vivek agnihotri was better when he directed Choclate (rip off of The Usual Suspect) previously. But this time he loses it and he does not possess the same quality of narrating a predictble story like Sriram Raghvan did it in Chak de..

The film has a big star cast and revoloves around a down to dump club United Southhall football club (Arshad warsi being the captain of the club). And to save the club they need to won a championship...which u guess it right they win ultimately...after having Boman Irani as their coach and John Abraham(a confused American born desi) as their lead striker (after some drama shama..obviously)

Boman Irani is the best of the star cast..but he tries to be Shahrukh khan (which he fails..). Arshad and John are OK but Bipasha is a complete waste. Sardar Monty Singh makes his presence felt with some witty one liners.

All in all. there is notinh new and nothing great in the movie to watch or talk about. Music is also far from being noticeable. So, this Goal is far away from its GOAL........

Jab we met - Finally Kareena and Shahid clicked...

Director imitiaz ali is a man of small moments ...he showed it with a cool love story in his debut film socha na tha and has proved it once again in Jab we Met(JWM). JWM is a roller coaster ride (at least till interval..after which it slows down a bit) and has a lot of funny and enjoyable moments.

Kareena walks away with some of the funniest and funkiest lines like "mujhe bachpan se hi shaadi kar ne ka showk hai etc.'. Shahid has also done full justice to his role. Others characters like Dara Singh, kareena Fiance also add to the fun of the movie.

Screenplay , conematography, music (special kudos to pritam for yeh ishg hai...), dialogues add to imitiaz ali brilliant direction.. The only negative point in teh movie is the climax...(which one feels is strectched a bit..)

Overall, this one is a must watch ....at least for the first time when kareena and shahid clicked

Om shanti Om - The baap of commercial cinema

Shahrukh is the bollywood king...he has proved it again. OSO shows the deadly combination of Shahrukh khan as the producer and Farah khan as the director can ensure the success of the movie even before its release.

OSO is a hardcore indian commercial cinema including big stars, great songs, excellent dialogues, great cinematography (infact every bit of it). OSO relies on the simple logic 'make it simple and connect to the people'.

As far as the story line and narration goes it is average but the overall look of the movide undermines one or two negative points in the movie.

So thumbs up for OSO this Diwali...Shahrukh certainly rules
